Kids Market Information
This is a fun event, meant to showcase the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of area kids. The main focus here is the kids, their creations, and the opportunity for them to learn about being a vendor in a local Market.
Event Specifics
- Please arrive to set up on the Market green between 8:00 AM and 8:20 AM
- You will check in at the Market Sprouts tent, pay the $3 vendor fee, and be shown to your spot on the grass
- The bell will ring to open the Kids Market at 9:00 AM
- Sales will be conducted until 11:00 AM when the closing bell for the Kids Market rings
What You Will Need to Bring
- A table for your child's products
- Any chairs you'd like to use
- Any tape, zip ties, pens, papers, cash boxes, change that you will need to set up your table and conduct your business
Things to Keep in Mind
- This event will be happening in the open on the Market green. Prepare for the weather with sunscreen, water, umbrella, jacket, etc.
- Also plan for a bit of wind. It is likely to blow signs and small items off your table. Plan ahead so you're not chasing things all morning
- Market rules apply in that there is no hawking or yelling to get customers attention and all activities need to take place at your table, not blocking other tables or the walkway
A Final Note
This event is for fun for the kids. Please keep it light. It is not another opportunity for adults to sell products or a competition for prettiest table. Let the kids be kids and have fun!
